There are not many of those "Finest Deep-Sky Objects" publications to be found. <BR>

I was listening to an interview with Jim Mullaney on a radio show a month or so ago and Wallace McCall's son just happened to be listening also. He called the station to say that Wallace had passed away a few years ago. Apparently Jim and Wallace have not stayed in touch as Jim was unaware of his passing. <BR>
<BR>
As I had mentioned earlier this was one of my first deep-sky observing manuals. We both know that it is pretty brief, but it was inspirational in getting me started in double and multiple star observing.<BR>
<BR>
As you well know, over half of the objects were double stars. I am hopeful that one day I can update my current work and self-publish an update. Time is the big factor as I spent well over 300 hours within a year to complete my first edition of "The 105(+1) Finest Deep-Sky Objects Revisited". It went from August 1995 and my last object was in completed in May of 1996. <BR>

If I should observe each object again and also get some assistance from other observers I could easily double the 300 hours.<BR>

Pretty daunting. <BR>
<BR>
For the moment I may copy the entire book which is less than 18 pages of 8 1/2 x 11 and assemble a very simple duplication of my original. It would not look pretty, and the sketches might not show up well but would be good enough to read. Maybe it would be worthy of the LVAS Library? The cover and contents would all be on copy paper. I would make a book and staple in the middle. <BR>
