LVAS all,<BR> <BR>Regarding the images supplied by Steve Davis at the Mount Mitchell overlook. <BR> <BR>If you are not familiar with NGC-4631 and N-4627 they are the two galaxies in the middle...referred to as the whale and pup for obvious reasons. NGC-4627 is the small round galaxy N of NGC-4631. There is a faint 12th magnitude star between the two. I have scanned a "rough" field sketch that I made in 1997 of the two.<BR> <BR>The galaxy in the corner is NGC-4756. The curved tail has another designation as NGC-4657.<BR> <BR>I have attached my field sketch for illustrative purposes. I also have a sketch with 4631, 4827, 4656 and 4657 as they will all fit nicely within a 1° FOV.<BR> <BR>The sketch was made using my 10-inch reflector. <BR> <BR>roger <BR><BR> <BR><FONT face=Verdana size=4></FONT> <BR> <BR><FONT face=Verdana><EM><STRONG> </STRONG></EM></FONT><BR><BR>
