LVAS all,

Most interesting that my friend and fellow observer Brett Clapper of NC just sent me this picture of the M-66 group AKA the Leo Trio this morning.

Jim Gianoulakis of Nevada seemed to start the discussions of the M-65/66 group with an image submitted last week.

I knew that Brett would not mind my forwarded immediately as I plan to have lunch or something with him this day.

Brett uses a 9 1/4-inch Celestron SC scope mounted on a Losmandy G-11 mount.

I am talking with Brett as I write this e-mail and he said that this image was made at the Mt. Mitchell overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway at approximately 4800 feet with fellow observer and friend of many years, steve Davis also of NC. Brett and Steve were using Steves Astro-Physics 130mm Starfire Refractor with an AP mount.

Brett and Steve were using a Canon digital rebel XSi ...
iso settings at 800 with 9 exposures at 5 minutes each. Brett stacked and processed using "Images plus".

Roger

I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.
