I don't know a thing about that mount, but I do know about electronics and if that is a new battery pack, you most likely have something hooked up wrong, or... did you buy batteries or did they come with it. Some batteries are not rechargeable so make sure the ones you have will. If it's like a 12V car battery, which is what it sounds like, could be a connection, could be a bad charging module, or if it wasn't the battery that came with it and it is lead-acid, check the water level. If it's Nicad, then maybe you didn't charge it long enough.
I'm just guessing at some possibilities, but maybe that'll help if I'm not just confusing you!
