David,

Your image of NGC 891 is especially good. This has always been a favorite galaxy of mine. It can be extremely difficult from my backyard with moderate light pollution when observing with a 10-inch reflector.

I have found from my "many" notes and sketches over the years that due to the LSB and weak concentration of this galaxy that sky transparency must be excellent to see the fine detail's.

My compliments...excellent image.

Best regards, Roger Ivester I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and say there is no God. Abraham Lincoln

Seeing was average, but the overall sky was very good. I wasn't sure whether it was Vegas or the moon that lit the sky The main light dome of Vegas did not rise above Sirius. Forecast for tonight looks better than Friday (hint, hint)I'll try posting a couple of images here...Orion NebulaGalaxy (Caldwell 23)
