I found a book called "Deep Sky Companions: Hidden Treasures ".  It's 
for those tired of looking at the Messier objects over and over again 
every year, but also those that find the NGC list too daunting.  It 
contains a list of NGC objects that are easily visible in a 4 inch scope 
and are fairly spectacular in their own right.  Full descriptions, as 
well as pictures, locations and history of each object are in the book.  
A lot of fresh new objects for me to go for at Death Valley with the 
Mallincam.
