You have the 50mm finder? If so, I also have one, a damaged one I put on my 16" LightBridge. The tube is dented up pretty good but I still like it. I've found my biggest problem is those crappy plastic set screws that hold the base on to the dovetail. That may be your problem. If so, you might want to try metal ones. As far as the six alignment screws, I haven't had too much trouble with them being loose despite a tube that is not quite round. I guess you have to tweak them to the point where they're all tight at the same time. That can be tricky and still have it aligned.
