Bob Sherman came over tonight and we took my Meade 10" LX200GPS out in
my culdesac. It was spectacular. We looked at M27, M13, M57, M22, M8,
m20, 51. We saw them in full color, even in Vegas light polluted
skies! M51 was not so spectacular as it was toward the west and I was
looking over the vegas lights. M57 was FULL coor and the central star
was easily visible. The Dumbell was full color and fully fully visible.
This CCD camera is awesome! It has several duration settings, 2, 7,
14, 28, 56 seconds of capture. In a truly dark sky this will be totally
awesome! I'm getting pretty good at it now. At first I couldn't see
anything! But after getting familiar with the settings I think this is
well worth the 1500.00 I spent. It's like having a 40 inch scope
(John). You see things in full color.
Clear skies everyone. If you want to get others to join this mailing
